Buying: Licensing, Software unlock codes and Hardware
Dongles. |
You can
buy AudioTX Communicator in one of two ways - with a Software
unlock code or with a Hardware Dongle. Each of these is compared
below.
The process
for purchase and installation of each is detailed in the following
two parts of this section.

This
option is recommended if you need your software urgently
and you have no plans to make any major changes to your
PC hardware configuration.
- An AudioTX software unlock code registration
key allows you to register and unlock the trial version
only on the PC from which you take the Product ID
- If you change major hardware components
in your PC, your product license will stop working,
however reinstalling or changing the operating system
will NOT cause a problem.
- We are unable to reissue software
unlock code registration keys in the case of system
or component failure or hard drive crash of your PC
or under any other circumstances

Hardware
dongles are more flexible in that you can easily move
the software to another PC... they will still function
if you change major hardware components in your PC.
- Hardware
dongles are normally shipped on the same day as you
place your order
- You
have a choice of USB or Printer port (LPT) dongles
- In
each case the dongle is a small and compact unit which
will NOT interfere with the normal operation of your
PC

We don't
offer a specific recommendation on a particular purchase method.
Broadly, if you need the software in a hurry, go for the software
unlock key - you normally have this in less than 5 minutes
and you save 10% of the purchase price. If you can wait a
few days, then the hardware dongle is a good option - if you
have USB available, then we'd recommend that for your choice
of Dongle over the Printer Port version.

Buying and using Communicator with a Software Unlock Code |
Purchasing
Communicator with a Software Unlock code is quick and easy.
All you need to do is:
- Download
and install the trial version on the PC that you are buying
the application for if you have not done so already. Install
any Audio and ISDN hardware and check that you are happy
it's all working ok. (There's no problem if you want to
change these cards or other cards in the PC at a later date,
but you will not be able to change major hardware components
without losing the licence key.)
- Get
the Product ID from this machine - this is shown when AudioTX
Communicator starts in trial mode:
- Go
to the 'Order Online' section of the AudioTX Communicator
website and either enter or cut-and-paste the Product ID
into the order form. Complete the other payment details
on the form.
- Within
a few minutes, an email is sent to you contining your receipt
and also your Software Unlock code Registration Key.
- Enter
this into the registration screen of your trial version
of AudioTX and it will be unlocked.

Buying and using Communicator with a Hardware Dongle |
Hardware
dongles are available in USB or Printer Port (LPT) versions.
Dongles are normally shipped on the same day as you order
and are sent by expedited airmail.
As
the hardware dongles are not tied to an individual PC, you
do not need your Product ID or to have even installed the
trial version to purchase this way.
Simply
go to the 'Order Online' section of the site and select your
choice of Dongle type - USB or Printer Port. Fill in the other
payment and address info and you're done.
A
receipt is sent to you by email a few minutes after you order
and your dongle is shipped to the address given. Please note,
we can only ship to the cardholder address (as shown on your
credit/debit card statement.)

A
software CD ships with your dongle - and the simple instructions
supplied will have you up and running in a few minutes.
